Governing Body
Marlcliffe Governors
Schools have a Governing Body, made up of a group people who have a passion for education and to see that pupils receive the very best education they can. A Governing Body is representative of the schools staff, parents, local authority and others who provide the skills the Governing Body needs to carry out its functions.
They work as a collective group to meet the three statutory requirements:
- Setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
The full governing body meets 6 times of year. You can contact the governors via the school office or one of the Chair of the Governing Body, John Doherty by email: chairofgovernors@marlcliffe.sheffield.sch.uk
